If you’re looking to travel to India, one of the best ways to get there is through a visa. Unfortunately, applying for an Indian visa can be a bit tedious and time-consuming. That’s why we’ve put together this comprehensive guide on how to apply for an Indian visa from the Netherlands.

First and foremost, make sure that you have all of the necessary paperwork ready before you start your application. If you’re applying from abroad, make sure that you have your passport valid for at least six months after your planned departure date, as well as evidence of financial stability (i.e. bank statements). If you’re applying from within the Netherlands, make sure that you have all of your documents translated into Dutch and authenticated by a notary public or attorney.

Once you’ve gathered all of your paperwork, it’s time to start your application process. The first step is to visit the embassy or consulate in your home country and schedule an appointment. Next, bring along all of your documentation and pay any applicable fees. In most cases, applicants will need to fill out a long form called an application form DS-160 (downloadable here). Be sure to include all of the required information, including your full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number(s), flight information (if applicable), proof of financial stability (if applicable), medical insurance information (if applicable), and more.

Important Info about Dutch and Brazilian Indian Visas

If you are a citizen of Brazil and want to travel to the Netherlands, you need to apply for a Dutch visa. The Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) has detailed information about how to apply on their website. There are three steps in the application process: submitting an online application form, providing documentation, and paying the fee.

To submit an online application form, visit the IND website and click on ‘Online Application’. You will then be prompted to complete an online application form. You must provide your full name, date of birth, national ID number, passport number, email address, and contact details (including telephone number). The form can be completed in English or Dutch.

Once you have completed the online application form, you will need to provide documentation that proves your identity and your citizenship of Brazil. This includes a passport photo page with a white background and no glasses or hats on, your national ID card or driver’s license with signature (if available), proof of residence in Brazil such as a utility bill from your current address or a bank statement from your last banking transaction in Brazil dated within six months before the date of your planned travel to the Netherlands, evidence that you have enough money to cover costs while staying in the Netherlands (this could include savings statements or proof of an employment contract), and two recent passport-sized photos. If you are applying for Dutch family reunification status or for long-term residency status in the Netherlands, you
