What is a Turkey Visa?
If you are planning on visiting Turkey, it is important to first understand the visa requirements. The country has a visa-free entry policy for citizens of many countries, but there are some restrictions that must be met before obtaining a visa.
There are currently three types of Turkish visas: tourist, business and transit. A tourist visa is valid for up to 90 days and can be used for tourism activities such as sightseeing, shopping, attending cultural events or simply relaxing in the country. Business visas are valid for up to six months and can be used for business trips, meetings or conventions. Transit visas are valid for up to 30 days and allow travellers to pass through Turkey en route to their final destination.
All Turkish visas require an application form and all applicants must provide documentation that proves their identity and eligibility to enter Turkey. Some common documents that may be required include a passport photo, birth certificate or citizenship card, proof of travel insurance coverage and proof of financial stability (such as an updated bank statement). Applicants who are not citizens of a Visa-Free Country may also need a valid visa from their home country in order to visit Turkey. TURKEY VISA APPLICATION
