In the latest weather update, a new Low Pressure Area (LPA) has emerged outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and shows potential for intensification into a tropical depression within the next 24 to 48 hours. Once it enters PAR, it will be given the local name Bagyong Egay.
Presently, the LPA is situated approximately 810 kilometers east of northeastern Mindanao. While certain areas of Luzon and Visayas are currently experiencing the effects of the southwest monsoon, the newly formed LPA has yet to influence the country’s overall weather patterns.
Stay informed and prepared as PAGASA continues to monitor the progress of this developing weather disturbance. Timely updates on Bagyong Egay’s storm track and signals will be provided to ensure the safety and well-being of all affected regions.
